--> At Cost Shipping: I can ship your order to you at cost of postage and materials. I use USPS Priority Mail and Regional Rate or Flat Rate Packaging. I have been doing quite a bit of this sort of shipping in the last five months.

--> Contact-less Porch Pick-up: If you live close to my location in the Gordon Heights/Bellefonte area, or are passing through the area from time to time, you can pick up your order right from my doorstep. I am less than a mile from I-495 and about 1 . 5 miles from I-95. I can have your order waiting for you on my sheltered porch when you arrive.

Many folks trying to sell you 'soy candles' aren't using eco-friendly, sustainable 100 % Soy Wax!

Many so-called all soy waxes use 'botanical oils or ingredients' to enhance the look or performance of their products. Guess what those might be.... Many include Palm Wax made from palm oil. Palm oils come from palm oil plantations...most of those are carved out of the tropical rain forest - which destroys rain forest habitat...

My guess is that you want your candles to be as eco-friendly as possible. That doesn't include using non-habitat sustaining palm wax in your candles. The actual palm oil plantations may be certified sustainable, but how they got there was NOT..

No Extra Goop in Your Candles

River Road Candleworks doesn't use any extra 'Stuff' in your candles. We don't use any polymer additives. We don't use any dyes. We don't use any chemical stabilizers for our scents or in our wax. We don't use any 'universal soy additive' (USA) in our wax. Our wax is 100% soy. We use a straight 100% soy container candle wax.

This wax is Kosher certified. It's not a soy blend or a 'botanical oil'-based wax. You get what you pay for. The use of other waxes or additives are to either make a prettier candle (colored candles reportedly look better with palm wax additive) or to change the physical properties of the wax to make it burn differently or 'throw scent' differently. 100% soy wax gives you good cold and hot scent throw.

Since we use no dyes in our candles, we need no additives to make the natural color of the wax 'prettier'. Remember that if you burn candles containing dyes, you are breathing the combustion products of those dyes.

Ask other candle manufacturers to tell you which wax they use. Ask them if it is a blend...
Ask them what is in the blend.. If they can't or won't tell you, don't buy them.

Allergen Statement

The causative agents of food allergies are the proteins of the oilseed from which edible oils (soybean, canola, cottonseed, sunflower, corn, palm, palm kernel, coconut, peanut) are extracted. These Oils are then highly refined through the process of refining, bleaching and deodorization. These oils described in studies as "highly refined" do not demonstrate a hazard to allergic individuals, as shown in studies using the "gold standard" for food allergy diagnosis, the double-blind placebo-controlled food challenge.

We are Carol and Mark - the folks working behind the scenes here at River Road Candleworks. Mark began this enterprise in 2011 as a way to expand the home-based business venture created during 2007. We are located in Delaware, just north of Wilmington.

Our goal is to provide you the consumer with a high quality product at a great price. Our business here is a growing concept. As we find our way through our start-up phase, we will try to bring changes to the business which will enhance your shopping experience and product satisfaction.

You can order our products by phone or by e-mail. and pay with PayPal. If you live near us, we can deliver to you (with minimum order) and we can accept cash, check, or your credit cards when we deliver your products.
